There was little knitting in the past days – because of this little fellow:

Teddy2

Teddy was a birthday present, but when he arrived he was only a a strip of plush and some instructions. He was a real bargain a tchibo, only 6 Euro, and it was a lot of fun to do him. I absolutely suck at the sewing machine but hand sewing (of smaller pieces!) is ok for me. The instructions were very detailled and clear and it didn’t take too much time to finish little Teddy. Now he’s sitting on my bed, and guarding me at night. I think he looks very cute with his jaunty neckerchief but last night he seemed to freeze a bit. What would he say if I’d make him a little cardigan?

The yarn for the pumpkins finally arrived. Indeed, the yarn shop chose to send a parcel which is faster then the shipping I was charged for and they added some chocolate to their excuses that it took them so long.

Everything’s fine? Everything except the fact that I ordered five balls of wool, there are five balls of wool on the bill – but only four balls in the parcel. Will talk to them tomorrow…

Remember the joys of procrastination I mentioned in the last post? About the ordered yarn for the pumpkin that was never shipped and I didn’t bother.

I just got an email, the yarn is now ready for shipping and I will get it soon. Maybe those shop-people read my blog…

Hey, hey, I just subscribed to Interweave Knits! I’m so happy that I did it. It’s really a great offer and only 7 $ shipping per year. That’s what I pay for shipping of two issues if I order them here in Germany.

I decided to stop ordering the magazines from a German shop because I had repeatedly issues with the shop (I won’t mention the name here). First they work together with a very annoying parcel service and second they have some „special offers“ from time to time when it’s for example said „30% off on everything“ without any small print and then on the next day it’s said, „well, please note that it’s illegal to give discount on books and magazines“. I hope that the Vogue Knitting website will be back soon and maybe I’ll add a subscription of VK to my portfolio of knitting magazines.

OK, what about the actual knitting? I’m working at the first sleeve of Beatrix and suspect that the yarn won’t be enough! But it shouldn’t be a problem to get an extra ball.

Somebody still interested in the pumpkins? Well, Halloween is over and they weren’t finished. The yarn never arrived, there seems to be something wrong with this shop. But they didn’t charge, I’m not interested in the project any longer and so procrastination seemed like the best for everyone. RIP, pumpkins.
